The headline:A ground-up rebuild of the BlokSec platform. Every surface your admins touch and every screen your users see has been redesigned, with a new authenticator app, a rebuilt admin console, and a friendlier and richer login flow. |
Why v4.0 Matters for Security Teams
Every enterprise authentication platform eventually faces the same tension: the product that got you to market is not the product you need to scale. The old architecture served us well for several years. It helped organizations move off passwords and close the door on credential-based attacks. But our customers shared what they needed next: self-serve reporting, better user management, a more modern app experience, and a cleaner onboarding process.
v4.0 is the answer to all of that.
A New Admin Console, Built From Scratch
The previous admin console did its job. But it required our team to be in the loop for basic reporting tasks that you should be able to do yourself. That changes today.
The new console gives administrators on-demand access to the data they need:
- Authentication analytics with configurable date ranges (7, 30, 90 days, or custom)
- Geographic distribution of authentication requests, down to the country level
- Peak usage analysis across your organization
- CSV export for every report, so your data is always yours
- API log analytics with per-request inspection, HTTP status codes, and response detail
User management has been consolidated into a single view: one screen shows you every application a user has access to, every device they’ve registered, and their current account status. Provisioning new users is faster. Suspending or terminating accounts is cleaner. And for organizations managing multiple applications, a new application-centric view shows you who has access to what, at a glance.
For application setup, a new template marketplace includes pre-built configurations for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and more. Connect a new app without starting from a blank form.
The BlokSec Authenticator App: One App, One Invitation
If your users have been on the platform for a while, they’ll know the yuID app. That app is now BlokSec, available on both iOS and Android.
The upgrade is automatic. Users update their app from the App Store or Google Play. Their existing accounts, PINs, and settings migrate behind the scenes. No re-enrollment. No new QR codes. No support tickets.

But the new app is meaningfully better than yuID in a few ways that matter for security-conscious organizations:
- Location-aware approvals: when a user receives an authentication request, the app shows them a map of where the login is being attempted. This adds a layer of visual verification that helps users catch anomalous requests before they approve them.
- Simplified onboarding: users used to receive a separate invitation for each application they needed to access. Now they accept one invitation to join your organization, and the app automatically discovers their application accounts. This is a significant improvement for organizations onboarding multiple users across multiple applications.
- Better backup and restore: users can create encrypted QR code backups of their accounts and restore them on a new device, with a process that is simpler and more reliable than before.
A Login Flow That Keeps Up
The authentication screen your users see when they sign in has been rebuilt with an improved user experience and now supports dynamic personalized theming. The changes are mostly invisible to users in the best possible way: it just works better, and looks native and modern.
All existing OIDC, SAML, and WS-Federation integrations continue to work without any reconfiguration.
What v4.0 Means for Your Compliance Posture
The v4.0 admin console was designed with compliance teams in mind. On-demand reporting with CSV export means you can answer auditor requests for authentication logs without engaging your authentication vendor. Every access event is logged with full detail: who, what, when, where, and how.
For organizations operating under GLBA, the FTC Safeguards Rule, NYDFS Part 500, HIPAA, or SOC 2, this level of traceability is not optional anymore. v4.0 makes it significantly easier to demonstrate that your authentication controls are working.
How to Get v4.0
